The Limberlost State Historic Site closed for the winter on December 9, 2001 until April 2, 2002, but tours can be arranged by phoning ahead, and anything you want from the giftshop shall be yours!. President of Friends of the Limberlost, Ruth Brown, will ship anything you want or need while the building is closed for the winter. Email Ruth Brown at willisandruth@onlyinternet.net

Author Norma Lu Meehan autographed her book, "Heroine of the Limberlost, a Paper Doll Biography of Gene Stratton-Porter" at the Limberlost State Historic Site on Saturday, November 14. Books are available in the Limberlost Museum Shop for $10.45 including tax. Although she is not a relative of Jeannette Meehan, Gene’s daughter, she cares enough to plan a second book about Gene Stratton-Porter, set in the Hollywood years.
