Christina, queen of the hop, tired after a long day in the blazing sun but still ready to dance. The kids had lots of company and a fine playground at Playacres Park.
I call this color "Candy Apple Green" but I don’t know what it really is. It sure is beautiful. The car *and* the paint. Read about the inventor of Candy Apple Red, Joe Bailon, on this site soon. All of you car fans probably know all about him, but I’m writing these pages for people who may not know…. people like me. Yeah, there are some of us who don’t know much about cars!
When I find a car like this I can’t believe it’s real. I think I’m dreaming. Don’t wake me up.
Did you know Kenosha, Wisconsin bills itself as Merc City? This friendly Merc owner said they have a wonderful Mercury car show there. Anne Duncan sent this great news:

"The Mid-Century Mercury Car Show is in Kenosha Wisconsin May 30, 1999. We went last year and for Merc fans it was great. Other cars there too. We’re heading up Saturday AM May 29th
"According to our Mid Century Mercury Newsletter the show is Memorial Weekend. Sunday, May 30th from 8:30AM to 3:30 PM with judging from 11AM – 2PM. Cars must be registered by 11AM to be judged. $10 registration fee. No preregistration. All vehicles 10 years and older are welcome.
Located at University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, WI.

Majorly huge prize winner Li’l Darlin’ came back where she is known and loved. She was the tee-shirt car recently.
The guys at Event Specialists were entertaining. They knew this website, so they have to be the brightest in the business! Pretty soon they are going to email me their names. Jimmy on a Continental Kit…. And as we note this attention to detail, we remember the Mercury Moon that lit the Mercury Corral on Saturday night… at the 1998 James Dean Run.
