GET
IN ON THE ACTION!
Biology and Botany experts take
a 24 hour flora and fauna inventory at the Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve – public invited to watch what is going on and also hear from the experts about what they are finding. Volunteers will assist professors from Hanover College and Ball State University as they take inventory of the species found in this area, including flowers, trees, reptiles, amphibians, birds, moths and butterflies. Volunteers will pass out flyers, help us get ready for this challenging event, and help to keep people safe. Volunteers will also give directions to the public who come out to the marsh to learn what the experts are finding, and also to enjoy natural science presentations.
This link has a
form for high school volunteers. DONATIONS AND SPONSORS are very much needed to pay fees for the presenters, to purchase food for the academics and the volunteers, and to purchase supplies required to put on an event of this magnitude. Please contact Jamie Faller at 260-368-7428 or email her at jfaller@dnr.in.gov if you are interested in being a sponsor, a volunteer or want to make a donation to help fund this extraordinary educational event.
