Discover the world of internationally famous Hoosier naturalist, author and photographer Gene Stratton-Porter.
Take
part in an insect history detective game at the cabin.
Discover the good, the bad and the ugly about insects.
Unveil
common myths about wetlands and create a wetland model.
Become
a young naturalist as you participate in an afternoon aquatic insect
dig at the Loblolly Marsh.
Meets
select 2nd to 6th grade Indiana Academic
Standards.
Locations and times: Aug. 13, 2009
Morning session 10 a.m. – noon: Limberlost State Historic Site on U.S. 27 just south of the caution light in Geneva, Indiana. Lunch Break: noon – 1 p.m. Bring a sack lunch to eat on the grounds. Afternoon session 1 – 2 p.m.: Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve on CR 250 W. in Bryant, Indiana.
