David Loehr's 2003 Fan Appreciation Weekender Banquet

We met at the Hostess House in Marion, Indiana. It was as beautiful as ever.  So were the guests, so this page grew into a huge production.  Bear with us as we relive the night.  See you at the James Dean Festival in Fairmount, the last full weekend in September (every year.)

Pamela Des Barres was the 2003 Guest Speaker.  This was Pamela's 15th trip to Fairmount.  She had us all in tears several times as she shared what James Dean means to her.  We laughed too!  Pamela swept us along in a gentle river of reminiscence.  You will remember that her son was born on September 30th.

Our host, David Loehr, email dl@jamesdeangallery.com  His new Gallery building at exit 59 off I-69 will probably open in March. They have broken ground! Seven thousand square feet of Dean memories!  Lenny will then fill the 425 North Main Street location with his  Rebel Rebel merchandise.

Gracious and lovely, talented and entertaining... and HERE, in Grant County with us!
Pamela Des Barres is a unique treasure.

Thank you, Wayne Goodman,  for all the work you did to save the old Fairmount High School. Wayne is part of the Historic Indiana Preservation organization.

Joe Scholte has a beautiful new granddaughter from China.

a college course on the Beat Generation, including James
Dean.

Two people you will hear a lot more from.
It took me eight years to meet this man.

R.J. Mott came from Austin, TX and you simply must subscribe to The Big Bend Quarterly.  He brought a few copies.  Phone 214.942.4905.  Keep up with the Marfa and Big Bend news!  And in the black suit, Del Ray from the Chicago area.

Linda Lavine from South Bend will have a big story in the fan club webpages soon. She is a genius at getting publicity for James Dean Remembered.

Miss Pamela brought two new books to show us.  See the pictures below, and find out how to order the books yourself.

In this anthology of short stories by musicians, you will find
an imaginary diary of James Dean, thanks to Pamela.

This is a re-issue of the original, this time printed in England.

Visit Miss Pamela's website www.electricgypsy.com to order these lively books.

Fun with Bill and Jane. (Bill Weinhardt and his aunt Jane Bauer.)
