James Dean Festival Dance Contest
September  2003
Fairmount, Indiana

  The Dancers

Just show up at the stage, sign your name before the contest starts, and you too can be featured on the internet forever!  No charge to enter.  The contest is on the last full weekend in September on Saturday night.

Garnering first place in slow and fast dancing, this Fairmount grad and his date made the crowd scream for them to win!  Cheers for Rob Arbuckle and Betty Milger!
Rob is a Fairmount High School graduate.

Dave Pope and his daughter Randa won trophies and were so happy that they bought the Quaker Inn eatery and moved up here from Blanco, Texas.  Mr. Pope cooks, his wife runs the restaurant and Randa waitresses when she isn't in high school.  Photos coming soon.

The Bopper wants to thank this next couple.

Dan and Diana Taylor of Hagerstown, Indiana  danced every dance for two hours in the afternoon.  They hadn't known there would be a dance contest in the evening. The crowd urged them to enter it, so they stayed around and did enter it.  They left with trophies!  They were a great addition. Can you imagine even being able to stand up in those high heels?

Melanie Thimnes and Mindy Owens, the happiest two girls at the festival set an example for everyone. Let us all be this cheery all year!  They love dancing and entertained like professional dancers.

If this is couple #123, it's Tony and Sharon Meredith from Wabash, Indiana.  Cute, cute, cute!

Joyce Mitchell and Rudy Wilson from Indianapolis knew all the steps and moves!

Betty Milger put a lot of work into this great costume.
