James Dean festival
September  2004
Fairmount, Indiana

I'm still not fluent in Paint Shop Pro 8.01 but I must get these pages made anyway.  Here are the Smiths, and then David Wozniak and his radiant bride.  David looks way better than this picture shows.  Remember his website is http://members.fortunecity/dwdean55/david.wozniak.as.james.dean/Davidp1.html

David Wozniak's in-laws on left.  Mattie Sellers on right.  See Mattie again on the Memorial 2003 web pages.

Pam Crawford, now the President of the James Dean Remembered Fan Club as well as the Editor of the Dean Zine.  She carries a very heavy load.  On the right, she confers with Brenda Graham.  Both were working in the gift shop at David Loehr's James Dean Memorial Gallery in Fairmount.

Below are some new-to-me scenes at the Gallery.  When it reopens around May, I can't imagine all the new things David will have for us.  Remember, the new building will be at exit 58, four miles north of the current exit for Fairmount.  We hope the visitors to the new Gallery will hop over to Fairmount to see all the James Dean history there.  The old Gallery will house Lenny's Rebel Rebel store on the main floor, with lots of vintage everything.

Remember to stop in the movie room at the Gallery to watch old screen tests and ads and TV shows that Jimmy appeared in.

Why so few pictures, you ask?  Because I tended Mark Kinnaman's booth while he went to get "a bite to eat." Hours later, he returned and I walked uptown and sat down next to Kris Frailey in the fan club booth.  She left to get a cold soda and you guessed it, vanished.  I think she went to Europe on a quick tour.....   but I met a lot of fans at the club booth and I'm glad I could help.  Just couldn't get a lot of photos!
