More Fans at David Loehr's
Awesome new Gallery/Museum
just off I-69, Gas City, Indiana
James Dean Festival
(Fairmount Museum Days)
September 24-26, 2004

In the entrance to the gallery/museum, we set up a table to explain the James Dean International Fan Club.  We had a little bake sale to raise money for the ink fund, to print The DeanZine, the world's greatest fan magazine. Thanks to all who helped out with donations and memberships and by buying baked goods. Pam Crawford, President of the club, Sandra Weinhardt, webmistress of the club, Marianne O'Malley, Teresita Gonzalez and Mark Kinnaman, members of the club, pitched in.

Val Holley, author of James Dean, The Biography, visited from Virginia.  He's so cheerful and friendly and approachable!

Adam Pelletier of Illinois, famous for winning the Rock Lasso Contest many times, taught his cousin how to do it too.  See the Rock Lasso page as soon as it goes on-line!  About half the fans consider Adam part of their family!  We have watched him grow up every year of his life.

Newest club member, having the full festival weekend experience visiting Daddy-O's vintage and retro clothing store, David Loehr's Gallery, Lenny's Retro store and all the sites on the self-guided tour.

Welcome to another new member who happened to have a great Italian Sausage kitchen parked in the Gallery parking lot.  It was festive, clean and cheerful,  and the food was yummy!

This fan was a member of Silvia Bongiovanni's original fan club, We Remember Dean International or WRDI.  Silvia has allowed us to segue into the current fan club.  This gentleman joined WRDI in 1956!

The theatre in the Gallery was full all the time.  I didn't get pictures of all the film fans.  There's always next year.
